  Great late night food. BBQ nachos are my favorite. It is open until 2 am I think. They do stop serving food at some point.

  Too bad I can't give Drifter's zero stars. It was THAT bad. My husband got the kielbasa hot dog bun sandwiches w sauerkraut. He wigged out when he tried the sauerkraut. Who makes 'bad' sauerkraut? It's already fermented, but we all know what regular kraut tastes like. This didn't. It was just plain weird and icky tasting.
      I follow a keto way of eating and find there's usually something on any menu I can order. So, I went w the large dinner salad with added brisket for $12.79. The salad was a big bowl full of bland iceberg lettuce, about eight super tiny squares of chopped tomato, and maybe 10 thread-bare pieces of shredded cheddar cheese. The brisket was beyond horrible. It was cold, greasy, and mostly in hard chunks. I was fairly hungry, so I tried to make the best of it. I tossed everything w my balsamic vinaigrette and ate it all. Within two hours after returning home I became violently ill. I vomited all night and the next morning until 10:00. I thought my organs were going to come out. I was also sick on the other end.
      I didn't notify the restaurant because first, I figured they simply didn't care about the quality and taste of their food, and second, I thought if they didn't care, why would they care if one of their unimportant customers got as sick as a dog from eating their slop.
      Seriously, don't eat at Drifter's BBQ in Nashville on Woodland.

  The best wings in Nashville without a doubt - a great selection of bbq/hot sauces - amazing burgers, too!  The staff is fantastic (especially Sarah!); also, a dog friendly patio!  Usually the live music is decent, as well.....highly recommended!

  In the cluster of bars and restaurant in Five Points of East Nashville is a Texas style BBQ joint that doesn't disappoint. From having BBQ nachos to actually doing pretty well on their brisket game. What's also fun is the selection of BBQ sauces to please the palate of different regions so all can enjoy.
  
  They have 2-4-1 happy hour and a small selection of draft beers and the staff is friendly. If you want to get away from the smoky atmosphere bars, this one is a good escape and there's plenty of ample seating on the patio where they also do live music.
  
  I'm a fan of their drifter sandwich if you want to try a catch all. They put pulled pork and brisket topped with cole slaw for your sandwich with fries. Can't beat that if you're hungry. Also their salad serving is huge. Also a great option if you're hungry.
  
  It's tucked behind Beyond the Edge but it doesn't disappoint. Makes a fellow Texan happy going here.

  I've been coming here since it opened.  It is a perfect neighborhood bar/bbq place...although tourists do pop in frequently.  It's nothing fancy, but the beer and banter is always good.  The bbq nachos and ribs are the best things on the menu--play around with the different bbq sauces.
